New Queens Artist About To Take The World By Storm

In the last two decades , we've seen some of the greatest artists emerge from Queens , and go on to gain maximum exposure and instant stardom .  Ja Rule , 50 Cent , and Nas just to name a few . To come from New York City (especially Queens) , means you have a lot of live up to . Not just lyrically , but your whole style has to be on point . A certain type of swagger, style and braggadocio is included .  Addyell from the Northside Of Queens , brings that to the table . Today he exclusively dropped his brand new project " The Purge ", and it lives up to it's name . All of the tracks on the album have it's own type of flair and tenacity . " I'm Nice " is an enigmatic catalyst of lyrical dexterity , wrapped inside a smooth delivery of goodness , making Addyell the premier GOD MC on the microphone . " I Ain't Wrong " is a tale of deceit , betrayal , and a love lost , a story that is not uncommon in today's relationships. " I Want It All "  is a story detailing the building an empire , a conglomerate if you will. A chance to live the american dream and get that paper no matter the cost . " You Don't Know My Name " is a declaration and anthem of love . Finding that one woman that you could spend the rest of your life with .  By all means , the album has something for everybody to bump , from A to Z . Addyell is truly the embodiment of a wordsmith , an up and coming lyricist who delivers a message for the times . Something that is lacking in most artists today . You can exclusively listen to the project via his soundcloud . You will not be disappointed .

Welcome To Retail Pt 3 (Racism)

This is one issue that might not happen between co-workers , but it's usually with customers whose hearts are deep rooted in hate. We have to tackle this issue before it gets any worse. I know personally for myself , there are certain customers of various races that do not like me because of the color of my skin , or the way that I speak. Nevertheless , I will never allow them to have power over me , and neither should you. Regardless of how they might come off , you still have a responsibility to give service to the customer. That might be one of the bitterest pills to swallow , but we still have a job to do. Don't give any excuse to lack in performance because of someone else's ignorance. Still today in a place like America , people still don't know how to love each other without seeing race. The same goes for a place like retail . In retail , you come across many different characters who have an agenda. Your job is not to find out what that agenda is. You need to stay rooted in who you are , so you don't lose the essence of yourself. I can recall one instance where I told a customer she would have to swipe her card instead of inserting it . She got angry at me, and then said I was acting belligerent ( a word that I had heard many times before from law enforcement. Stay focus , and perform the task of your job well. If you have any discrepancies with a customer , please contact human resources or your manager. No one should make you feel uncomfortable for any reason at all .

Welcome To Retail Pt 2 (Handling Rude Customers)

Every once in a while you'll get one customer that's totally uncooperative. They come up to counter speaking on the phone , meanwhile you're asking them if they have the preferred discount card. They get an attitude and continue back to the conversation. The real amazing part is after all is said and done with their purchase , they have the nerve to say " How much did my bill come out to ? ". It can be quite frustrating and discouraging especially if you are a new cashier or worker. Make sure that you are always able to get their attention. If the customer happens to be speaking on the phone , make sure that your voice is clear so they can hear you out. Never give them a reason to come back and make a complaint. Although they are responsible for the things that they purchase , it is your job to make sure that transactions go as planned . Another issue that many cashiers face is " the money situation ". This when the customer plans to pay for their purchase , but instead of handing you the cash....they either crumple it up into little ball or they decide to throw it at you (they think that people who work in retail are the lowest form of life on this earth , and don't deserve to be treated with respect). Do not let this get you angry. Many of the people that come shopping , are consumers with many things on their minds. Half of the time , they might not even realize what their doing might be affecting your performance and how you relate to customers in the future. No matter what , do not hand their change back to them the same way. They will take it as an offense , and will either call corporate on you or demand to see the manager. That is definitely something that you do not want. Complaints will cause you to lose your job faster than anything. You must always maintain a level of professionalism , even in the most uncomfortable situation. You owe it to yourself. Understand that these people are not mad at you , they just have their own problems that they have to face. On the other hand , let's talk about the ones who are the total opposite. These might be the regulars who always come in to stir up some trouble. They rant and rave about the same minor issues , and make it their priority to annoy you or cause a disturbance. If you find a customer that is trying to create trouble , please do not hesitate...and head to your management team immediately. You have the right to work in a safe environment without threats . Keep your eyes open to everything , and try to give the best experience with a smile.

Welcome To Retail Pt1

Millions of americans wake up early at the break of dawn to wait for that bus , and head straight to work. The majority of them work in retail . Anybody that knows that retail entails , knows that you are doing more than one job. Your first priority is to make sure that customer is always taken care of first . Selfishness is not welcomed. Humility will help you to be more attentive to the customer while developing your customer service skills. I can tell you from experience that the first day was rough for me. I had customers left and right biting my head off for things that I had no control over . That's another thing that I want to cover. When a customer comes in mad or frustrated , your job is make sure that you maintain your cool . Some customers might take your emotions for anger , and try to play it off you as if you were the one with the problem. Arguing does not help the situation get any better. You need to decipher what the problem is . Once you've done , proceed to help correct the situation . Calling the manager to the front would be a good start . Many customers appreciate when you listen to their needs and concerns attentively. It shows that you are sensitive and caring . With that , there is also a downside. Not every customer will appreciate the lengths that you go to have gone to in order to correct a situation. Some will take the time to chastise you and place blame on your incompetence or efficiency in handling the matter . I'm not saying that any cashier or sale person is dumb , but this is just an example of the tirades that will take place in the course of your retail position. You have to make sure that you yourself are centered. Your energy must also be at 150% percent , and nothing less than that . Never make a manager regret the day that he or she hired you. You are required to carry out your tasks with little to no trouble at all. However , just because to try to stay afloat of trouble....doesn't mean that it won't find it's way into your work day. Make it a priority to be cordial and respectful or your co-workers. Customers can read right away if you can't get along with another associate. It also makes management look bad when you're arguing back and forth with your co-worker. If it comes to that , make you co-worker aware of the issues that you currently face with him or her , and try to find common ground so your can peacefully co-exist in the work place. It's vital that your keep a level of respect between you and your customer . Get to learn their name for one . Once you've established formalities , it's time to give that winning smile , and be the best cashier/greeter you can be . Make the experience between you and the customer enjoyable . Never find a reason to be upset at work. Don't bring down the atmosphere with your attitude. Talk to your manager or another member of the staff that trust . Be attentive of your actions , and always make the customers feel welcomed . Keep your composure , and be there to handle all their needs .

Rappers In The Limelight : March 4th 2015

There are 4 MC’s that are worth the time , worth the effort , and worth the money. Whether or not you like Hip-Hop , I promise that you’ll feel differently before the end of this article. I’ve learned the music is a release and expression of who or what an individual is. Today , we explore that statement through these reviews. Keep in mind that I only promote the best .

Optometrist – Super Rhymes (Released 2006 , Positronic Records)

Take a ride down the block with Optometrist from Staten Island. A vignette of lyrical style mixed in with artistry and dope rhymes. The album in a nutshell is everything that you would expect from a Self Made artist : bars , imagery , passion , heat and fire. In this album , he blows the roof off hip hop , challenging others to get their bars up and stop perpetrating on the mic as duly noted in “ Super Rhymes “ , “ Me” and ‘ Page Rampage “ Not only does he rap , but he also produces his own material as noted on the back cover of the album. Definitely a classic today , as it was when it dropped 9 years ago. Make sure that you cop his latest album Boombox Material on CD Baby.com

Poynt Blank -  Point Of No Return (Released 2011 , Independent)
If you look at the album cover , it appears at first glance that this is a album full  of unworthy images dealing with sex , drugs , and alcoholism. On the contrary , isn’t that what hip hop’s about. However , there is the phrase “ don’t judge a book by it’s cover. While most hip hop music is about bravado , Poynt Blank comes different on this album. In a nutshell , the album serves as a beacon of light to those who are on the verge of giving up hope. The songs are written in the form of a mere mortal soul who has been through hell back , but through the power and faith of God was able to overcome and stand victorious. More intriguing than the songs is the actual artwork. It’s almost reminiscent of the end days prophecy in the book of Revelation. If you look closely , in Blank’s left hand there is darkness , in the right…..a sword. A must listen for anyone that is going through. You can also reach out to Poynt Blank via you tube or his facebook fan page.

James Lion  - The Resume (Released 2014 , Independent)

No stranger to the music scene , James Lion(pronounced Lee-own) has definitely put in his work for “ The Resume “. Originally from St Louis Missouri , Lion moved to Atlanta to further his music career , and now resides in New York.  This EP by far is one his best projects. Chronicling the life of Lion and his dream to make it big , despite the obstacles that he faces from day to day. It’s an inspiring piece of work , and a testament to the hearts of those who never give up. The relentless spirit of a warrior. Be sure to visit jameslionmusic.com for more material .

Paranormal – Vendetta Doctrine (Released 2013 , The Wizard Factory , Bronx NY)

A truthseeking and all telling book about the infiltration and indoctrination of humans by the governmental powers through the voice of hip hop. The word Vendetta is loosely translated as a blood fued ( when one opts to get back revenge for a lost family member ) , but in this case…..it translates on a larger scale. The album explores such issues as minimum wage , unfair treatment from police , diseases , the media , last day prophecies , and the insatiable need for people to gain all the world , but never achieve it , through a false sense of belief via mind control and images. The doctrine set by Paranormal is to get people away from the totalitarian powers that be , and educate themselves about the evils that lurk. Get the album online before it’s too late : Amazon , CD Baby.

EMPIRE : WAS IT REALLY WORTH IT ?

First of all , I would like to say that I am truly disgusted and disappointed at the pilot episode of #Empire. You know months before a show airs , they show you previews of what it's going to be like. The promos on FOX had everyone on the edge of their seats , and just a few days ago....someone was happy , mentioning the fact that this was first time that FOX had aired a black show/drama in years (NEW YORK UNDERCOVER AND LIVING SINGLE , AND MARTIN WERE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ONES IN THE EARLY BROADCAST YEARS OF THE NETWORK). I too anticipated the release of this show and was ready to be wowed. I loved the opening scene. Here we meet Lucious , the owner of Empire Records...trying to pull emotion out of one of his artists for a song. A few minutes pass by and we become introduced to his sons at the breakfast table. 2 are musicians , and the other is a successful lawyer for the the label. What I didn't expect to see was that bots scene ( I turned my head before it happened). It's already bad enough that they want to force homosexuality on young minds from the age of 6-15 , but why did it have to be on a black show. This is strictly supposed to be about the Empire and nothing less. I was turned off by it , but I had to bypass that moment , and continue on to the story. Also in the opening scene , we become introduced to Lucious right hand man. Now I don't remember his name because I just wasn't paying attention ( lol). Back story is that they've known each other since the age of 14. Now that Lucious is a big time record exec.....he treats the guy like trash. Next , we become introduced to Cookie. 17 years ago she went to jail , in place of her husband for making drops (drug trafficking) . 17 years later , she comes out in a real nice designer suit....crazy....but it's what she wore when she came in. Cookie comes in , and tries to Deebo her way back into the company. The history is that she helped to start up Empire Records with the $400,0000 she saved up from using packages. Remember when I mentioned Lucious's sons , well let me give them to you in full detail. Jamal Lyon : the 2nd oldest ( played by Jussie Smollet , best known for his role as one of the Jericho kids with his own real life brothers and sisters in the late 90's TGIF show " On Our Own ) is a talent artist signed to his father's label. He and his father have a strained relationship , due in part to his lifestyle. While performing on stage at a club , he reminisces about the time his father put him in the garbage......because he played dress up in his mother's clothing while some family members had came by. His mother is the only one that truly has love left for him , and in turn wants to manage him. She also despises his lifestyle as well. Hakeem Lyon is the youngest child of the family , and also signed to to Empire Records. Unlike his brother , he and his father seem to get along...but they have differences. Like when his father gives him a song to record , but in when he goes into the studio to record it , it's garbage. Hakeem enlist the help of Jamal to hook up a track. His father goes crazy for it instantly and loves it , but despises the fact that Hakeem helped out during the song writing process. Oh one more thing , he despises the fact that his mother got locked up when he was a baby , causing him to have abandonment issues. Since his mom was never around , he never really got a chance to know her. He has no regard for her , and resents the fact that she shows up at the family's house. The second she steps foot into the house , she gets rid of his barber and they get into a heated argument. He gets in way over his head and calls his mother out of her name , and she in turn slaps him in the face , then proceeds to beat him with a broom. Last but not least in Andre Lyon. Unlike his two youngest brothers , his relationship with his father is pretty good. He grew up able to attend college and became a lawyer. He is married and has a good job as an attorney working for his father's record label. Unlike the baby of the family , Andre welcomes his mother back home with open arms , and has no resentment or anger towards her for the life that she chose. He seems to be well adjusted. And here is a surprise that some of you probably didn't expect. I happened to see this during the previews for the last few days , but Malik Yoba has a starring role on the show as Lucious's business partner and friend Vernon Turner. He also knew Cookie back in the day as well. In the excitement of all the things that were taking place , Lucious's right hand man comes over to his house to extort money from him. He threatens that if he doesn't cough up the cash , that he will more than likely go to the authorities and rat on him for the murders that he did back in the day when he was a drug dealer. Lucious agrees and meets homie at a undisclosed spot. Now that's all that I'm telling you. To be honest , I probably won't watch this show again , but for some of you guys....this is what you'll have in store. Gabourey Sidibe finally has her first starring role in television , and Tasha Smith appeared tonight with a unspoken role. Other stars to expect are Macy Gray , Courtney Love , and Naomi Campbell. Man , television has changed so much since the late 90's. Nothing is authentic or real anymore. I realize that it has been a long time there has been a successul black sitcom on network telelvision ( and please don't put TP's shows up there , because they are not any better) . To be honest , Power is looking better. Did they steal the concept of the drug dealing part : YES , are they in the same line of work : NO. Be the judge for yourselves. If you did not get the chance to see the pilot , you might want to go to the FOX website , or wait till someone puts it online.

RAPPER SHOOTS ENTIRE VIDEO ON SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 , AND IT COMES OUT QUITE MARVELOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the last 24 hours , social media has been going crazy off of this music video. Yes , the video was shoot entirely on a Samsung Galaxy S4 and to say the least , the quality is amazing. But let me tell you of the man that you see on the camera. That is Queens's own I.M.C. , better known as the Intellectual Male of Consciousness. He has been on the scene for quite some time now , and if you've never heard of him......then you're missing out on the music of a lifetime. The I.M.C's formative years in music were built at O Studios in Laurelton , NY. As a young college student and aspiring rapper , he often spent his time hanging out at the studio with engineer Hugh Prescod. He got the opportunity of a lifetime in October 2008 , when he was invited to come down to the studio and spit a freestyle. It was there that he was able to hone his skills as a rapper and lyricist. From that studio came singles like " Life " , " Best Friend " and the unforgettable " I Couldn't Believe It ". He officially came on to the scene in early 2009. While still in his freshman year of college , he also hooked up with local Brooklyn artists P-Kash and Dro aka Mr 1.17. Soon word got around , and he later on went to collab with artists such as The Muzik Revelator aka Saahigh , DJ Markos Venon , Ill Nature , and many more.He put in the grind from back then , and he's still doing it now. Currently , he is the president and Ceo of Intellect Studios in Queens NY , and has just released his fifth mixtape " DJ LIVEWIRE PRESENTS : UNIVERSAL BOOMBOX ". Not only does he rap , but he also produces , play engineer , and on occasion a little bit of piano and the drums. We hope to hear a lot more from him the future.

To Serve: God or Man ?

If you aren't familiar with this guy and his work , you need to get up on him fast. He dominated the music industry for years , and spent most of his career working with some of today's biggest artists. He even tried his hand at writing screen plays. As he accelerated in Hollywood , he was on the fast track to fame and fortune , but a chance encounter with Jesus Christ changed his life forever. Who is this man that I'm talking about , it's none other than Christopher Hudson. A lot of you probably won't recognize him by name. He's better known on youtube as TheForerunner777 where he produces a weekly series called " The Forerunner Chronicles. He came to national attention last year when Two & A Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones made a profession of faith , and did an impromptu interview with him in Burbank California on the Warner Brothers Studio lot. Jones claimed that his decision to be come an Adventist was due in part to Hudson's videos , and felt that the guidelines of " Men " weren't in accordance with his religious convictions. Hudson received backlash from the entertainment industry and those alike , but his true supporters continued to stick by him no matter what. Now a lot of people think that the Forerunner is a guy that likes to assassinate the character of famous artists and politicians , but there is more to his story than you can image. Christopher grew up in New York City. His home consisted of an older brother and sister , and also his parents.....him mother , and father Constantine. As a young boy , his parents instilled in him and his siblings to get the best education possible out of life. They wanted better for their children than they had. This was also due in part to the fact that his parents were very successful and wealthy , because of that alone he and his siblings reaped the benefits and fruit of their labor. There was nothing that they couldn't have. Then one day when Hudson was 16 , his father announced to the family that their mother had cancer. This crushed him very hard. It was during this time , that he decided to seek and explore God. Here's the thing , Hudson was brought up as an Adventist , but before all this happened.......it didn't seem that important to him , or his family.  Due in part to his mother's ailment , he would go basement of his house , and in secretly pray to God to heal his mother. As time progressed and moved on , his mother's condition did not get any better. She lost her battle with cancer. After a while , the benefits of his parents labor soon diminished into nothing. The family was hardly getting by now , which prompted Hudson to take matters into his own hands. He soon began to distribute drugs on the street at 17 to make some kind of income for himself. Soon ,  he began to get involved into more criminal activities. One of them which included him and his friends stealing millions of dollars from a very known local bank. The FBI soon caught on to his activity , but because of his age........he was spared. It was during this time that he decided that the best thing to do was to go to college out of state. During his first year , he discovered that living an academic lifestyle was having a positive effect on him , but soon after he would be kicked of college for academic probation. He later on relocated back to New York City , but this time he had a different set of plans in mind. Hudson was a fan of hip hop music , and even considered himself a rapper. For a while , it was his dream to become an artist , but at the time that his mother was still living........his parents were not willing to sign a contract. He was 19 now , and he could make those kind of decisions for himself. So he signed to a label , and got himself a couple of managers. Meanwhile , he writing material for his very first solo project. One day however , he was approached by one of his managers to write a screenplay......but here was the catch. The movie script had to be done in one night , and ready for the next day to presented to some movie executives. Being young in the business and wanting to gain experience , he took on the challenge presented by his manager and started writing. By the morning time , he had a 100 page script ready for review. It was so good , that execs shopped his script around to different production companies. After this point , Hudson became a full fledged screenplay writer. Writing movie scripts , and television pilots. He soon after joined the Screen Writers Guild Of America , which is a very prestigious organization filled with talented writers. Even though he was rising in the entertainment field , the streets still had a hold on him. Continuing to sell drugs and do his music , he had an advantage. The first one was that he had incredible talent , the other however is very dark and grim. Hudson's girlfriend at the time had a father who was a Voodoo Priest that practiced witchcraft. The was how he first become involved with the satanic rituals of the entertainment industry. When it came to writing those scripts , he would  drink and sometimes literally " chew " the coffee. He was a force to be reckoned with . No one could tell him anything , or so he thought. One day while sitting down in a local park , he was smoking marijuana when a voice talked to him. It said " Chris , you have to stop smoking marijuana " , and he responded back to the voice with " you're right ". It was the voice of God.This particular chance encounter forced him to look at his own life , and exam what was there. When he went to look in the mirror , he not only saw himself........but he saw the supernatural dark force that made him what he was. This was the turning point in his life that cause him to leave all the fame , the money , and the popularity.....BEHIND. Fast forward to 2007 , Hudson begins to record a series of videos which are aptly known " The Forerunner777 ". In 2009 , he broke down the music industry and Illuminati within the music world , by exposing hip hop artist Jay-Z in the DVD " JAY-Z - HIP HOP's MASTER MASON". Since that time , his videos have become more detailed with accuracy and deeply rooted religious convictions. Not to mention his blending of greek and ethiopian mythology , and the bible. There is a reason why he's doing this. This man has seen what the industry can do to young minds. How they make promises of giving you money and fame. The biggest cars , and fanciest clothes and restaurants , and the only thing you have to do is SELL YOUR SOUL. He is not a man to be chastised and made fun of , but a man to be revered an respected. Any other person on this earth would be afraid to expose these practices and put people in their place , but not him. A true soldier of God never backs down. Maybe the world is not ready for someone like Christopher Hudson , but there are many other that are seeking the truth. What will you decide ? , and in the words of Hudson " THE TRUTH........IS THE TRUTH ".

" Going Back To Drama Central "

In today's world of crime , misogyny, sex , and killing you would think that the world is at an all time low. Nobody would blame you for thinking that , but what's even worst is the music that goes along side it . In a world of a million rappers , there's not one who is even decent or talented to say the least . This is where Mike Jackson is the exception . Coming from the Dover area of Delaware , Mike Jackson is a new talent rising up on the scene. Just this past week , he released his 5th mixtape entitled " Drama Central " . A personal letter of his feelings and emotions about the world around him , and his views on life in general . One song that certainly holds it's own on the mixtape is " Crazy Memories ". A  humorous , yet poignant view into the nightlife of a bachelor. Most of the songs from the mixtape , are drawn from personal experiences that Jackson's encountered throughout his life. There's something for everybody on this mixtape , " heartache " , " abandonment " , " frustration " , and " Peace ". " Drama Central " is one of the finest pieces of work that I have come across in a long time. In that past , I have heard mixtapes that had hot rhymes , but crappy beats , or dope beats , but lacking lyrical play. It is rare that you're able to get both out of an artist. Continue to support Mike Jackson , and you'll see him reach levels people haven't even thought of attaining yet.

Is Cain The Offspring of Lucifer ( Are You Serious ?)

Let me clear up a misconception that has ravished churches and synagogues for ages. A lot of young , and older adults believe that Eve was kicked of the Garden of Eden for Having sex with Satan , and that her son Cain , was the result of this sinful nature. Most of you know about the story of Adam & Eve and how they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Here is what we know to be of biblical truth. When God created the heavens and the earth , it was his infinite desire to create animals as well as humans. In fact , Adam was the one who named all of the animals on the earth (Gen 2:19). Genesis Chapter 2 verse 7 says, " And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground , and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life , and man became a living thing. Then from verses 21-23 it says , " And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam , and he slept. He took one the ribs and closed up the flesh in it's place , God made the rib into a woman and brought her to the man. Adam said , this is now bone of my bones , and flesh of my flesh ; she shall be called woman , because she was taken out of Man ". Now I want you to keep in mind that when God created Adam and Eve , they were the first humans without sin. Following their encounter with the serpent ( Satan himself) , this is where their fidelity was tested. Remember that Adam and Eve were told by God that they could eat the fruit off of every tree , except for The Tree Of Knowledge of Good And Evil............for they would surely die (Gen 2:19). Satan twisted around what God said , and in turn interpreted it as this " you will not surely die , for your eyes will be opened like God , knowing both " Good " and " Evil " Listening to the words of Satan , Eve ate the apple off of the tree , and shared with Adam as well............causing the both of them to sin together. So far everything makes sense , but to some individuals they seeks interpretations that are off their own. In a recent conversation with a friend of mine , we discussed our views on the story of Adam & Eve. What I heard next from their lips, infuriated me. They believe that Eve was not kicked for eating an apple off of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil , in fact more so that this was not a resultant of Adam and Eve getting kicked out of Heaven , but that Eve indulged in sexual pleasure with Satan , and then engaged in them again with Adam. Their reasoning for this , is because the " apple " does not make sense , and used as a cover-up to what really happened in that part of the bible. How can it be that Satan and Eve had sex ( and conceived Cain ) , when it clearly states in Genesis Chapter 4:1 " Now Adam knew Eve his wife , and she bore Cain, and said, " I have acquired a man from the Lord". When you see the phrase " Now Adam knew his wife Eve " , it is an implication that Adam & Eve became intimate after getting kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Another allusion to this story , is that Adam & Eve were naked because they took off their clothes to have sex. This is inaccurate as God called Adam , and was afraid to come to him because he was naked. Genesis Ch 3: 11 says " And he said, " Who told you that you were naked ? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you should not eat ?. Adam then goes on to blame Eve for their sin.  When people are not reading their bible daily , it is very easy for Satan to infiltrate their mind and their well being.  This is the problem that a lot of new believers , and current believers face. It seems that man is becoming more reliable than the savior. A lot of christians are more interested in some one telling them what they should , instead of what they know they ought to do. Keep this in mind , Hosea Ch 4:6 says " My people perish for lack of knowledge ".  Do not perish brethren.

Gospel Is Not Dead

In today's world , people are looking for more than the Daily News , or the latest fashions. It seems that in this day and age, people are desperately searching for the spirit of God , hoping to seek him wherever possible. Sometimes it is common for people to find that spiritual connection that they've been looking for , through music............" gospel music ".  During these past few weeks , a new underground gospel artist has emerged from the streets of Bronx , NY. Najestique (Wilkins) , is a gospel singer and lyricist who is passionate about the word , and spreading the gospel to every living creature in sight. A prolific writer from Buffalo , NY, she began writing these spiritual and uplifting hymns of praise when she only 10 years old. As she got older , the songs turned into personal testimonies to the testament and power of God in her life. Since that time , she has poured her heart and soul into making music with a " holy ghost " power. Most recently , she has recorded and released  a posse of songs under a musical guise called " The Boutique ".  The Boutique is supergroup of artists that come from Queens , Brooklyn , and Yonkers, NY. For Najestique , it is a blessing to be working with an array of talented artists and engineers who are dedicated to this music effort. Just a few days ago , Najestique unleashed a brand new group of artists and songwriters on her mixtape " Compilations Of Inspiration ( http://soundcloud.com/najestique/sets/mixtape/)". The mixtape includes an illustrious group of young artists who are just as passionate about God , christian rapper " G.M.A.N " from South Africa , Rapid Fire from Clinton Arkansas , and R.O.D. from Dallas Texas. The mixtape deals with subjects that may be too graphic for certain individuals , such as child abuse , spousal abuse , drug abuse , and gang violence. One song in particular spoke to me. It is called " Not My Own ". In this powerful vignette , a man tries to pressure his girlfriend into having sexual relations before marriage , but knowing that she is a child of God she stands to her beliefs and morals. If you have been looking for music like this and haven't found it , it's because it didn't exist before Najestique. The gospel music industry of this generation is no longer focused on spiritual direction , but more so of the world. Gospel has been spoiled so much , that there is no longer a distinction between it and wordly music. Coming up in this day and age , people need to know about the salvation and the works of Christ. He wasn't just a man who died on the Cross , he is everything you'll ever need , and that is just the type of message that you will hear in Najestique's music. She has once again proved that nothing is impossible with God.

Unsigned Hype : IllNature

IllNature's  "The Progression", is one of the best mixtapes to hit the streets.  The Queens Native dropped his release on Labor Day, September 5th. Anybody that was familiar with IllNature's rapping style and lyricism, knew that he a special gift.......from birth. Many of the songs on the album are personal & poignant views of life in general , and his struggles from tragic to triumph as a developing artist. But let's talk about the production, which was handled by none of than Markos Venon, Natic, David Bionic and many more. The most popular songs to arise from the mixtape are " Broken Hearted ", and " Keep Holding On". As an eminent voice in Hip-Hop music today, IllNature has the power to move people's heart, and emotions. His energy and raw passion are what most rappers in the game are missing today. Let us continue to support this young artist as he is on the rise.

Boulevard Of Dreams

The world is constantly revolving 24/7, and in all that time what are we able to do. The economy is low, and the homeless are still living on the street. Yet we spend money on all these campaigns talking about " A Change Is About To Come ", and be ready for it (give it a rest). People in the world don't want promises, they want a surefire support system in which their communities and cities can thrive. Where are we with our voices in this world. Anybody can become a rapper, singer, and actor, but it's what we do with those talents that make us spectacular. For example, let's take Mos Def who's songs are often about black empowerment and self worth. This is what we need for the world, for someone to let us know that we can be somebody, and that our words have deep meaning. True, we all have a lot to work on, but isn't it worth it. Being famous isn't about the millions of dollars made in the process, but it's about your strength, our strength. Look for inspiration.

Mother Gets Off Scott Free By Jury

It was a cold day on July 5, 2011, when the verdict was handed down that Casey Anthony was found not guilty of killing her 2 yr old daughter Caylee Anthony. Many people outside the courtroom rejoiced, why other still in protest mourned over the death of this little girl. It's very hard to believe that the jury could make a decision like this. Who in their right mind could actually believe that this woman is not capable of murder ? There are many instances, that place Casey Anthony at the scene of the crime. Caylee went missing June 2008, and in all that time the mother didn't bother to call the police. Casey's mother cindy, kept on asking her daughter to visit, and bring Caylee, but she always told her that she had a big assignment to do in Tampa, Florida. Then she goes out partying with her friends, and having fun. Strange isn't it. Finally, on December 11, 2008 Caylee's remains were found in the woods. All this time, Anthony had not made a complaint until after the 31 days. When asked by the 911 dispatcher why she didn't call immediately, she said : " We had been trying methods to locate her, but have yet to". For someone to say that they care so much about the well-being of their child, Casey didn't do it a good job of protecting hers. This is a woman who said that she was a part of the staff at Universal Studios, and led the police around for hours until she told them that she lied and was fired years earlier. A lot of other things don't add up to this story. Anthony claims that the nanny was with her child( Zenaida Gonzales), was watching her, but on the day in court the woman says that she never met Caylee or Casey. Here's one more thing that will shock you. Anthony wrote in her diary on June 21, something very personal, that should have just been to herself, but as in any case evidence must always be presented. She says: "I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out OK. I completely trust my own judgment and know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see – This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time. I hope that my happiness will continue to grow– I've made new friends that I really like. I've surrounded myself with good people – I am finally happy. Let's just hope that it doesn't change. " Bone chilling wouldn't you say, No people who got a chance to look at this piece of evidence probably thought " oh, that's just by coincidence, but " nice try, no cigar". There is more to this writing. After analyze it, we can come to the conclusion that Anthony was tired of mother, and in return for her happiness had to kill her daughter. As shocking as it may be, that's the only reasonable explanation for a cause of murder. One of the Juror's(Jennifer Ford, Medical Student, 32), that there wasn't enough evidence to support that Casey had killed her own daughter. She also said " Just because the verdict was "NOT GUILTY" doesn't mean that she's innocent. We can't just put somebody in jail because of speculation, we don't even know how Caylee died ". Stomachs churned as jurors deliberated in the room, the " NOT GUILTY" verdict, but here's the real question. Was the evidence to much to handle, or did they just pick and choose what to cypher out. In my opinion the case is still  not solved. No one even focused on that little girl. Think about it, she was 2 yrs old. Barely walking yet. Now she's robbed of living a full life. No running to mommy or daddy to give them a hug. No visiting grandma and grandpa. No future of going to college. Justice has not been served.
